Reporters Without Borders has created an Assistance desk to help journalists and media facing an imminent danger. With the support of its local partners and correspondents, Reporters Without Borders tries to provide a rapid and appropriate response to the protection and assistance needs of journalists and bloggers who have been arrested or threatened, the families of murdered journalists, and local media in difficulty.

Reporters Without Borders offers financial and material assistance, helps obtain medical or legal assistances, and helps journalists who have been forced to flee their region or country to find a safe refuge.
