Our mission is to defend freedom of the press, journalists and netizens all around the world. More information on our international activities

In the United States, Reporters Without Borders is a 501(c)3 organization incorporated in New York. Our main office is located in Washington, DC and we have correspondents in different US states to alert us on any attempt to press freedom and freedom of expression.

Our work in the US focuses mainly on working with the US authorities on the situation for journalists around the world and helping the administration to have a better grasp on the importance of freedom of the press worldwide, working with other human rights organizations to raise awareness on the situation for freedom of expression.

We also publish press releases on the situation in the US. The right to be informed should not be taken for granted, as it can go away if not preserved and defended.
