Reporters Without Borders is a partner in the online Open Media Summit organized by Deutsche Welle as part of anti-censorship week from 3 to 9 December in Tunis.
The Open Media Summit is available in English and Arabic and provides interactive learning in the form of a massive open online course (MOOC) on a variety of journalism-related topics, on how to analyze online sources and how to combat censorship. Using content contributed by journalists, netizens and organizations, it provides online resources throughout the week on how to get around censorship and surf the Web safely.
Internet users will be able to take part in the next session of the Open Media Summit, entitled “Staying online: coping with censorship and online interference”, on Thursday 6 December at 5 pm, which will be run by Moez Chakchouk, chief executive of the Tunisian Internet Agency, and Grégoire Pouget, Reporters Without Borders’ project leader on online censorship. The session will take place in English and will be streamed live at http://specials.dw.de/oms-en/
